About Ultra sailing school
ULTRA Sailing School was founded in 1995 by enthusiastic Croatian Olympic sailors. During their numerous travels for sailing competitions, they got inspired by sailing schools in countries where the love of sailing is widely taught to a wide variety of people. They decided to transmit their knowledge not only to potential elite sailors but also to recreative and aspiring sailors.
The location of Ultra Sailing School is in Split, ACI marina Split, where you can also discover most of our Beneteau sailing boats fleet Split Ultra charter base.
ULTRA Sailing School's founder and CEO, Emil Tomašević, is a recognized sailor and seaman in Croatia.Croatian representative in the famous Olympic class Finn and Laser in the nineties, he has also been a lecturer at the Faculty of Maritime Studies, has worked on big merchant ships, participated in world class Offshore races, and many more salty adventures in his 40 years of sailing and competing experience. He shared his extensive knowledge in the reference Croatian guide for sailors “Sailing skills” (English version).
The Sailing School instructors are very skilled Croatian sailors with outstanding experience both in regatta sailing and as professional skippers in nautical tourism.

Our sailing courses are held in English, however students can get support in other languages upon request (Croatian, French, German...)
Ultra sailing school operates sailing courses with ISPA certifications using ISPA official sailing manuals in English. Upon completion of Day Skipper level, successful students get a complimentary copy of the book Sailing Skills, in English or Croatian, to accompany them in their first autonomous steps.

In cooperation with 
-Competent Crew Sail Course-> accessible without previous experience or knowledge
-Day Skipper Sail Course-> participant should have validated Competent Crew level or be able to justify equivalent sailing certification
-Coastal Navigator Sail Course-> Day Skipper Sail course completed
Participants who didn’t attend any of the ISPA courses can apply to participate with us on a Regatta, but cannot obtain an ISPA certificate.
