The ISPA Competent Crew Sail shore-base program is the same as the classic Competent Crew embarked course and is also located in ACI marina Split. The main difference is that students will spend their free time visiting Split city and swim in Marjan nature park insted of sailing around the middle Dalmatian islands. It is a good choice for people who live in Split and want to sleep home while learning to sail. If it is your first visit to Split, it is the perfect combination of city trip and active vacation.

Shore-based courses are available in early spring and late autumn. Participants have theory in the classroom in the morning, sail out in the afternoon and come back to home port in the evening. Accommodation on one of our boats in the marina is included, except for summer terms. Participants are free to arrange their own accommodation on land. Shore based courses are usually held on First 27 Seascape (maximum 4 participants).

We encourage students to book in advance in order to have time to study the online theory course and pass the theory exam before the practical course. Theory essentials are repeated during the course.
