What do I need when sailing with kids? Please inform us on time if you have kids on board and about their height and weight, so we can organize a life jacket on time. Otherwise you can bring their own life jacket from home. Do not forget: hat, sun-cream, mosquito repellent cream, sailing shoes, sunglasses etc. Cover your kid with light white T-shirt between 11:00-16:00 hour (sun protection). The boat can be very slippery, so let the kids have rubber shoes most of the time. Children on board don't need much. The boat itself is fun to explore for them. Especially like to play with the dinghy and jump into sea from the stern. When renting a boat, pay attention to the cockpit, stern and always take a boat with proper Bimini.
Teach your child to take part in the ship's duties and enjoy the time together. Even withouth TV or smartphone you can have a very pleasant time with card games, chess, drawing or fishing etc. Avoid to eat sweet while sitting in the cockpit because of the bees. Choose a shorter daily routes and bays where they can buy ice cream and have a "good run". Penciles, paper, books and favourite teddy bear should not be forgotten.
What do I need to pack when sailing Croatia? The most important is to remember to bring any personal items (passports, skippers licence) as well as medication.
Softer luggage is better to fitting into lockers on the boats and as always on holidays advice is to bring the least baggage. You will need sun hats, sun glasses, light summer clothing, trainers, not slippery shoes, swimmingsuits and for evening or dinning in restaurants „smart casual“. If sailing in May, June and September then it is good to bring your own sailing suit or sailing jacket and warmer clothing (for evening or in case of colder weather).
What skippers licence is valid in Croatia?List of skippers licences is quite long and provided by Croatian Maritime Ministry. We can send you the list by E-Mail in needed, so you can check if the licence you have is listed. Before you confirm your sailing holidays and paying your sailing boat, it is best to send copy by E-Mail, so we will check for you immediately if it is valid. Except skippers licence, VHF licence must be also on board. VHF licence can be any particular and it can be provided from anyone in the crew.

What is the best time for sailing in Croatia? The best time for sailing depends on your needs, party, sailing, swimming or island exploring.
The best sailing time is late spring (April till June) the days are long, wind conditions are good and in the beginning of April and May, the islands are not so crowded. End of September is also nice for sailing the sea is calm and still nice for swimming.
July and August are fewer crowded but ideal for swimming end enjoying summer in full.
April and October are also very popular for regattas and those who like quite time out of the season and the berths cost are cheap and you can easily find a berth anywhere.

Can we park a car in marinas? All marinas provide parking place for a price of 10-15€ per day. As most marinas are build 25 years ago parking place was not planned for today's standard. It means that in peak season parking space can be problem as everything is overbooked. For similar price we can recommend other private parking solutions outside marina. Just contact us when booking a boat and we will give you a suggestion where to park your car for a week or longer.
What is average berth price in marinas in Croatia? Price depends of the boat size and term of the season and the service of the marina. Marinas in Croatia provides electricity, restaurants, shops, showers, loundry etc.
Many of marinas are located on the most popular places (as ACI marina Korčula, ACI marina Plamižana etc).
Usually in ports and marinas you pay between 4€ and 11€ per metre length for a berth. Usually the price includes electricity, water consumption and usage of other facilities.
