Apply to our unique winter training courses for professional skippers and/or sailing instructors. The Ultra professional skipper training is an excellent opportunity for young professionals to refine their competences, but it is also a very effective way to join Ultra Sailing pool of professional skippers. Ultra Sailing school is expanding in 2024; and therefore, potential talented sailing instructors will be offered a special discount to join this two-week integration program.

Program and Price – PROFESSIONNAL SKIPPER I INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

08.04. - 12.04.2024

Program:  5 days

Dynamic plan (subject to adaptation to weather conditions)

• Guests relations, Ultra Sailing values
• Introducing Ultra Sailing school and ISPA program
• Assessing and completing sailing basics 5 theory and practice
• Safety briefing, communication on board
• Training maneuvers on different sizes of sailboats (27 do 51 feet) and catamaran
• Simulations of maneuvering situations with guests / hostess / students
• Safety at sea / MOB practice / First Aid (external trainer)
• Check in/out - Basic mechanics and electricity for skippers
• Advanced sail trimming and steering, theory and practice
• Collision regulation / Meteorology / Route planning

Who can apply for Skipper?
Professional skippers with at least one season experience / 10 working weeks

Who can apply for Instructor?

Sailors with experience on small sailboats up to 28 feet and/or experience in singlehanded sailing Experienced professional skippers with affinity towards sailing

Languages
English mandatory, Croatian or German appreciated

Price: 750€

Type of collaboration: Payment by weeks worked

Payment: 50% deposit upon reservation. 50% two weeks before beginning of the course

NOTE:After the course, successful participants who do not yet have the Commercial Croatian license “Brodice C” and VHF license will need to obtain those at their own expense before starting collaboration.
